# AI in the event room

## Everything you need to know about iluminr Intelligence and situation briefs in the Event Room, as an Admin User or Facilitator.

How the event room summarises your event and writes briefs for the people who need them, as an Admin User or Facilitator.

**Note:** everything in this article requires **AI insights to be enabled for your organisation**. If you do not see these features, speak to your Customer Success contact.

### iluminr Intelligence

An AI-generated overview of the event, sitting near the top of the room.

It reads what the room already holds — the information and task boards, playbooks and impact assessments — and writes a quick summary of where things stand. Alongside it you get the counts that matter: what is **active, overdue, unassigned and completed**.

It is there to answer "what is the state of this event" without anyone reading the whole board.

### Open brief: situation briefs by audience

The same AI layer writes **situation briefs tailored to a specific audience**. Five are available:

- **Response team**
- **Board and executive**
- **Customer-facing updates**
- **Regulators**
- **Shift handover**

Each brief is generated to a defined structure, ready to copy into an email, a message or a report.

### What goes into a brief?

Briefs draw on the **impact assessments**, **task progress** and **information board items** already captured in the room, and produce a clear summary covering:

- The **current situation**
- **Operational priorities**
- **Coordination in progress**
- Any **key uncertainties**

That last section matters. A brief that presents an unconfirmed report as settled fact is worse than no brief, and surfacing what is still uncertain is what makes one safe to forward.

### How current is a brief?

Briefs can be **regenerated at any time**, and they **refresh automatically as significant new information comes in** — so a brief written an hour ago does not quietly go stale while the event moves on.

### Why does the audience matter so much?

Because during a live event the same update gets written four or five times over — once for the response team, once for the executive, once for the customer statement, once for the regulator, once for whoever takes the next shift. Each needs a different level of detail and a different tone, and the person best placed to write them is the one who can least afford to stop.

Generating them from the same underlying record also means the five versions agree with each other, which is not something a rushed set of hand-written updates can promise.

### Should I send a brief without reading it?

No. Treat every brief as a first draft written by something that has read every item in your event room and none of the context around it. You remain accountable for what goes to a board or a regulator — read it, correct it, then send it.

### Where to go next

- Work the event → *Get to know the new live Event Room workspace*
- Produce the record by hand → *How do I export an event room report?*
