Get to know the Document Library
Everything you need to know about the Get to know the Document Library
This is an admin only feature.
The Document Library is a new in-platform home for your organisation's content — compliance documents, run-books, framework references, and approved scenario material. It does two jobs: it's a tidy, permissioned place to keep reference material, and it's what the AI grounds its feedback in.
How does the Document Library content relate to Microsimulations?
Anything you add here becomes context the AI Context Engine can draw on, so learner feedback and reports use your terms, policies, and standards — not generic ones. The better your library, the sharper the AI.
Where can I find the Document Library?
-
Login using your iluminr username and password.
What should be added to the Document Library?
- Compliance and policy documents
- Run-books, playbooks and procedures
- Framework references (your BCM, incident, or risk frameworks)
- Approved scenario material and background
- etc..
How can I organise and restrict access to documents?
Organise documents into folders, and use folder-based access to keep material scoped to the right teams — so people only see what's relevant to them.
Before you start
- You'll need admin rights to upload and manage documents.
- Decide your folder structure up front (by team, framework, or topic) — it's easier than reorganising later.
Best practice
- Upload approved, current versions only — the AI treats what's here as source of truth.
- Mirror how your teams are organised with folders, so access maps cleanly.
- Retire out-of-date documents so feedback doesn't cite them.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who can see a document?
Whoever the folder's access allows — folder-based permissions control visibility.
Does adding a document change my simulations?
It doesn't change the content, but it gives the AI more of your context to draw on for feedback and reports.
Is this where Microsimulation content lives?
No — simulations live in the Microsimulation library. The Document Library holds the reference material the AI grounds on.
