Some iluminr features use AI to write summaries, insights, feedback and briefs. For new accounts these features are off until iluminr switches them on. This article lists which features use AI, how to get them turned on, and what you still get without them. ### Features that use AI There are three AI settings on an iluminr account: **AI insights**, **AI feedback** and **AI document processing**. Each feature below needs one of them. | Feature | Where you find it | Setting it needs | | --- | --- | --- | | iluminr Intelligence summaries | Single player report Overview, and each participant's results | AI insights | | Insights and actions written by AI, including **Generate analysis** on a question | Single player report Overview and Questions tab | AI insights | | Signal scores, levels and learning objective results | Single player report, and each participant's results | AI insights | | Ask AI | **Ask AI** button on each tab of the single player report | AI insights | | iluminr Intelligence and situation briefs (**Open brief**) | Event Room | AI insights | | AI feedback to participants | Learnspace, while participants complete a single player microsimulation | AI feedback | | AI document processing | Document Library: documents you add become context for AI feedback and reports | AI document processing | AI content in reports is marked **ILUMINR INTELLIGENCE** and labelled as generated by iluminr Intelligence, with a reminder to check important details. ### Turn AI features on You can't switch AI features on yourself. iluminr does it for your account. 1. Contact your Customer Success Manager. 2. Tell them which features you want. Name the setting if you know it: AI insights, AI feedback or AI document processing. 3. iluminr switches the settings on for your account. 4. For AI feedback, an Admin User also turns on the **AI Feedback** toggle in each single player microsimulation, under **AI Personalisation BETA** in the builder. It is off by default. Accounts that already had AI settings before v26.18.5 kept them. If you're not sure what your account has, ask your Customer Success Manager. ### What you get when AI is off Most of iluminr works the same without AI. The single player report is the main exception. - **Reports.** On a single player report, every question's responses, the participants table, and participation and completion figures still appear. Signal scores and levels, and learning objective results, are not calculated, and Ask AI does not work. To get them, ask your Customer Success Manager to switch on AI insights. - **Your own insights and actions.** On a single player report you can still select **+ Add insight** and **+ Add action**. They show as added by your team. - **Placeholders.** Where AI content would appear, the report shows a placeholder and asks you to contact iluminr to turn it on. - **Event Room.** Everything else in the room works. iluminr Intelligence and Open brief don't appear. - **Learnspace.** Participants complete microsimulations as normal, without AI feedback on their answers. ### Check AI content before you use it Treat anything written by AI as a first draft. Read it against the scores and responses, and correct it before you share it.
